Part treasure hunt, part scavenger hunt, mixed with a few quirky challenges,  this event will let your team see the best of Sydney. Whilst we don't eat cockroaches or bungee jump blindfolded, our Amazing Race is a fun and energising team activity that includes mental stimulation, some (light) physical challenges and healthy competition. Talked about for months afterward, it is our most popular event - a brilliant way to get to know Sydney and for your team to get to know each other.

Loosely based on the TV show, teams leave at intervals armed only with a map and their first clue, which they must crack to determine a destination. At each check point there will either be questions to be answered or a challenge that will test team resources.

One of our most popular challenges is the "photo essay", where we give teams a list of things and poses to photograph. We send all these photos on to you, which provides a great memento of the day. (The photos on the left come from this task).

Afterwards, we generally wind down with a few drinks whilst we tally up the scores and name the winning team.

SYDNEY BOTANIC GARDENS COURSE

Our most popular Amazing Race starts in Sydney's Royal Botanic Gardens, and heads around to the Opera House and down East Circular Quay, finishing in a local CQ pub.

SYDNEY ROCKS COURSE

The Sydney Rocks Course (please enquire) starts in or close to Kent Street and includes Observatory Hill, the Rocks and Museum of Contemporary art as well as Circular Quay.

MANLY

Manly Wharf start, Manly and Ocean Beachfront, finish at Manly Wharf hotel

KIRRIBILLI / MILSONS POINT

Milsons Point start, Lavender Bay, Harbour Foreshore, Kirribilli and finishing at Kirribilli Hotel (optional add on of Luna Park).  Read more and see more pictures here

PYRMONT

Particularly suited for those holding conferences at Star City, this includes historic Pyrmont, Maritime Museum, Union Square, foreshore and Pyrmont Park, finish at Star City, Doltone house or a local bar .

Details:

Duration:  The duration of each race is around 2 hours, with some teams finishing faster. This includes under an hour of walking time. It is not overly physically challenging, but anyone with an injury may find it taxing.

Cost:

Facilitation by Team Bonding, includes planning, equipment and staff. Excludes any costs associated with finish point function or prizes for the winning team.

10 - 18 people $1,300 + gst

19 - 35 people $1,550 + gst

36 - 50 people $1,800 + gst

51 - 75 people $2,050 + gst

Wet Weather:
Day Prior: If your day is forecast to be bad, or is bad the day before, Team Bonding will consult with you to decide if we go ahead or not. (Safety and comfort are the paramount concerns)
On the Day: If upon arriving at the venue or start point we decide not to go ahead Team Bonding will re run the day, but will need to be compensated for any direct costs accrued on the original booked day. These will include contractor and staff wages, equipment hire, snack packs etc.
If both parties agree to postpone and no suitable re run date can be found, Team Bonding will retain your booking deposit as a service fee and refund the balance (if already paid) or not charge the balance.
