Amazing Race
(Outdoor Quiz & Challenges) |
Thiis outdoor quiz is a fun and energising team activity that includes mental stimulation, some (light) physical challenges and just a modicum of healthy competition. It is a brilliant way to get to know Sydney and for your team to get to know each other.
Working in small groups, the Amazing Race can be staged in any of these fantastic locations: |
1. BOTANIC GARDENS & CIRCULAR QUAY
Macquarie St start, Botanic Gardens, Harbour Foreshore, Opera House, finish in Circular Quay pub.
2. MILSONS POINT TO NORTH SYDNEY
Milsons Point start, Lavender Bay, North Sydney finish - Rag & Famish hotel (or reverse with an optional add on of Luna Park)
3. PYRMONT
Historic Pyrmont, Maritime Museum, foreshore and Pyrmont Park, finish at Star City bar
4. MANLY
Manly Wharf start, Manly, Fairlight foreshore, optional kayaking, finish at Manly Wharf hotel
5. KIRRIBILLI
Milsons Point start, North Harbour foreshore, finish at Kirribilli hotel or Luna Park (additional charges apply for Luna Park)
6. LANE COVE RIVER PARK
Lane Cove River Park, beautiful and peaceful bushland setting and great for a picnic beforehand (some park charges apply)

Teams of around 3 - 5 people leave at timed intervals with a clipboard and quiz sheet; they get some exercise, use a few brain cells and creativity and generally have a fast paced outdoor day. Afterwards, we can wind down with a prize ceremony and a few drinks
Details:
Duration: The duration of each race is 2 - 2.5 hours, with about 1 - 1.5 hours of walking. It is not overly physically challenging.
Cost (excluding optional add ons) : Facilitation by Team Bonding, includes equipment, staff and a bottle of water for each participant. Excludes prizes for the winning team.

Optional Extras:
If you would like to start the day off with the full group, you can firstly play some icebreaker games. We offer 20% off the icebreaker games if added to another event.
Luna Park closes at 6pm and is $38 per person (to be paid direct)
Kayaking in Manly is available around $30 per person, (there may be some additional costs if kayaks need to be picked up from another location)
Lane Cove:
For the Lane Cove race there is an additional cost of $300 for park booking fees.
Catering: Choice of lunch box with wraps, a piece of fruit, a cake bar, a small chocolate and a can of drink for $20 per head + GST or a picnic buffet lunch with BBQ chicken, quiche and 2 – 3 salads, bread rolls and juice for $25 per head + GST.
Wet Weather

Day before: If your day is forecast to be bad, or is bad the day before, Team Bonding will consult with you to decide if we go ahead or not. (Safety and comfort are the paramount concerns)
On the Day: If upon arriving at the venue or start point we decide not to go ahead Team Bonding will generally agree to re run the day, but will need to be compensated for any direct costs accrued on the original booked day. These will include contractor and staff wages, equipment hire, snack packs etc.
If both parties agree to postpone and no suitable re run date can be found, Team Bonding will retain your 20% booking deposit as a service fee and refund the balance (if already paid) or not charge the balance.
