This is a hands-on chocolate making class designed for the inquisitive and creative chocoholic. You will find out how real chocolate is made and experience the pleasure of making your own truffles using couverture chocolate. Of course, you will taste some chocolate too and there is the main benefit of taking home your own handmade chocolates - and the skills to make more at home ......
We will start with a brief discussion about chocolate, including the difference between couverture and compound chocolate and how to tell the difference. You will all be glad to know that Joseph will convince you that chocolate is not only good for you, but it is even slimming!
Working together, you will learn to mould chocolate,to decorate chocolate cakes, to make a variety of centres i.e. [ganach] and the most exciting of all, you will enrobe and decorate your own chocolates using our professional equipment.

Who runs this event?
A man with one of the best jobs in Sydney, Joseph Atallah is our master chocolatier. Joseph graduated in Food Technology from the university of NSW and has worked extensively in the food industry in Australia as well as overseas. As a chocolatier Joseph has entered a variety of chocolate competitions, won a number of gold and silver medals. As a spokesperson for the chocolate industry Joseph appears on television and radio talking about his area of expertise - chocolate.

Duration: Around 3 hours.
Group size: 6 - 14 people
Cost: Includes your own hand made chocolates packaged to take away - $135 per person + GST.
Venue: This event is held at Kimberley Chocolates at 209 Lilyfield Road, Leichhardt NSW 2040. If you would like Joseph to come to you there will be an additional charge to cover travel and transporting of equipment, please enquire.
