Mountain Challenge

Looking for a fun team activity with a little more edge to the challenge?

Have your team take on alpine mountaineering roles and embrace a series of real mountaineering situations, substituting sand dunes for mountains! We have created a two hour and four hour option to suit your needs and get your team outdoors.

2 hour Challenge

1. Snow Blind - Duration 60 mins

Our first activity finds your team in a precarious situation whilst crossing an ice field, surrounded by a maze of deep crevasses. Circumstances during the day have left your team being led by one sighted climber with frostbite. With deteriorating white-out weather conditions closing in, the team must take immediate action. It becomes a race against the clock to find a secure location and erect a shelter if the team is to avoid perishing.

2. River Crossing - Duration 60 mins

Heading back to Kathmandu, your team’s pathway is blocked. Heavy monsoon rainfall has washed away the rope bridge leaving swollen raging rivers to cross. With limited provisions your team must construct a means of conveying all team members and equipment to safety.

4 hour Challenge

Mission: Search & Rescue

You are located at camp two on Mt. Everest when the Base Camp Manager contacts your team with an urgent brief: "All expedition teams at camp two are to be immediately mobilised. An Aussie climbing team at camp 3 has been caught in a deadly avalanche. Time is now of the essence if you are to find the climbers alive".

Improvising with equipment provided your team must plan and execute a search and rescue operation of your target area. This activity involves orientation and navigation, establishing a cordoned area, search techniques, attending to casualties and determining an evacuation plan.

Abseiling can also be included, though please call us to discuss as there are some different location requirements, and an additional cost.

We use mountaineering and adventure themes to remove people from workplace politics and reporting lines. We rotate team roles for each challenge ensuring delegate exposure and that everyone has a chance to step up and shine. Whilst adventure is the theme of our activities they are mentally rather than physically challenging meaning all team members can be actively involved.

Who Runs This Event?

This event is run by Leadership Revolution. Our facilitators walk the talk with elite ex-military, mountaineering and expeditions backgrounds. Combine this with their corporate experience and know that they can relate your team’s insights back to their workplace reality. Using our leadership model we support your people to develop new skills and knowledge to improve their leadership and workplace relationships.

Cost:

Includes equipment and facilitation of games. Excludes council permissions, charges at locations (generally moderate), GST and team prizes.

Location:

3 Sydney based locations are available. If you have an alternative location in mind a reconnaisance and planning visit can be arranged to determine suitability of our activities for $200 + GST (2 hour challenge) or $400 + GST (4 hour challenge).
