Mini Olympics is a super fun, active event where familiar activities are updated for adults with a fun twist.  Great for big teams who enjoy a bit of friendly competition in the great outdoors.

Your group will be divided into smaller teams of 6 - 12 people. Each are allocated a country, they will prepare a national "cheer" and are encouraged to support each other throughout the event.

Countries compete for gold medals at 3 main three "stadiums", with familiar events re-engineered with a Team Bonding twist to be light and fun (see below).

The Team Bonding philosophy ensures our games are inclusive and physical challenges are safe. No team member is forced to participate in any activities and people volunteer themselves for the events.

Race Meet
- 3 person sack race
- flipper feet obstacle course
- buddy walker race
- leap frog
- run mat
- multi leg relay

Ball Sports
- soccer with giant balls
- tunnel ball
- amoeba race
- speed croquet
- ball transfer game
- polo ponies race  

Field Meet
- rhythmic gymnastics routine

- tinny shoot

- gumboot throw

- tug of war

- ground archery

- giant "grundy" sword catch
 


Upon arrival at the "stadium" teams are briefed on the medal events and team members volunteer for 2 - 4 events. When not competing, team members cheer vigorously for their players to keep morale high. Teams will then rotate to the other stadiums and an overall medal tally will be kept.

Details:

Duration: Between 2.25 and 2.5 hours.

Price Includes: Equipment and facilitation of games, plus one bottle of water for each participant.

Excludes council charges, team prizes and any team "uniforms". (Can be purchased if required).

Group size: Not suitable for groups under 14 pax.

Cost:

20 - 35 pax $2,000 + GST

36 - 50 pax $2,200 + GST   

51 - 75 pax $2,400 + GST

76 - 90 pax $2,600 + GST

Locations:

We need to find a suitable location for this event that has the following; spacious flat areas, shade available (October - April), toilets and vehicular access.  

Charges apply (generally between $250 and $500) Council permission is required and is the client’s responsbility to complete relevant paperwork (except Botanic Gardens where we have pre-arranged permits).

Our preference is the Royal Botanic Gardens ($330) and we arrange these permits on your behalf.  We have also used Centennial Park, Nielson Park at Vaucluse,  Lane Cove River Park, Parramatta Park, Kempt Field at Hurstville, Sydney Park Alexandria, West Spit Bridge at Mosman, Victoria Park at Homebush and West Pennant Hills Community and Sporting Centre.  (All subject to updated council permissions) North Sydney Council now has limited facilities.  No beaches due to equipment damage.

A reconnaissance visit charge ($100) applies for parks that we have not previously used, and we reserve the right to suggest an alternative if, upon viewing, the park is not suitable.  

Additions: Reconnaissance and planning visit to a location we haven’t used before is $100 + GST. Council fees apply for many parks, though these are generally quite reasonable and do not exceed $400. Also excludes team prizes.

Wet Weather:
Day Prior: If your day is forecast to be bad, or is bad the day before, Team Bonding will consult with you to decide if we go ahead or not. (Safety and comfort are the paramount concerns)
On the Day: If upon arriving at the venue or start point we decide not to go ahead Team Bonding will re run the day, but will need to be compensated for any direct costs accrued on the original booked day. These will include contractor and staff wages, equipment hire, snack packs etc.
If both parties agree to postpone and no suitable re run date can be found, Team Bonding will retain your booking deposit as a service fee and refund the balance (if already paid) or not charge the balance.

Team "Uniforms" - Many teams have enjoyed having something to wear or have as a keepsake. There are a number of choices, you can purchase bandannas from the charity Canteen ($4), create some fabric headbands ($2 each) or coloured T-shirts for each team "country" at an additional cost of $20. We can also arrange singlets, T shirts or hats printed with your logo for the event.
