Venue Information and Suggestions

Venue Requirements

Check here first and inform venues about these specific requirements. Simply click on your activity of interest, then look at the venue suggestions in the right column

Artworks!

Venue needs to be made aware that this is an art activity, but no cleaning up is left to them.  We need a spacious room with double trestle tables each set for 6-8 (we bring plastic table covers) plus at least one third of the floor area of the room left available to spread out the pictures, plus access to water and preferably a sink

Team Trivia

For small groups (under 40) this is a simple event to stage, we can come to your workplace and use a meeting room, we just need tables organised for small groups of 4-5 players, a projection screen or wall, power to a front table and a digital projector

For larger groups (40+) we recommend booking a venue; a local club or community centre is likely to be ideal. Let them know we need tables organised for small groups of 4-5 players, a projection screen, power to a front table and a digital projector.

A cordless microphone and PA system is also excellent in a large room (this comes standard at many clubs)

Indoor Games

We need cleared spacious areas, one room or several rooms depending on the size of the group.  Clubs and community centres work well for this activity.

Circus Skills

We need cleared spacious areas, one room or several rooms depending on the size of the group.  Clubs and community centres work well for this activity.

Murder Mystery

This event is best held as an evening event with dinner.  We need a space where the group can assemble, sitting or standing before dinner and an additional private space relatively adjacent to the main room where the cast can get ready

Creativity Games

For small groups (under 40) we can come to your workplace and use two meeting rooms; one cleared of furniture, plus an area set up with seating (can be chairs or couches)

For larger groups (40+) we recommend booking a venue; a local club or community centre is likely to be ideal.

Icebreaker Games

We need cleared spacious areas, one room or several rooms depending on the size of the group.  Clubs and community centres work well for this activity.

Puzzlemania

For small groups (under 40) this is a simple event to stage, we can come to your workplace and use a meeting room, we just need tables organised for small groups of 4-5 players, a projection screen, power to a front table and a digital projector

Magician’s Secrets Revealed

People can be seated at tables, but will also need a clear view of the magician

Aboriginal Art & Culture

People needed to be seated to hear a talk, an art gallery would be perfect

3.  Event Portals

Also helpful are event portals where you search by area:

4.  Council Run Facilities and Community Centres

For all our events that require a spacious area community centres can be ideal as most are large halls and relatively inexpensive.

Here is a link to venues run by the City of Sydney all of which are well priced and professionally managed.

Here is a link to the well run and comparatively inexpensive community centre in Crows Nest; Crows Nest Centre

Here is a link to facilities run by Waverley Council

Here is a link to facilities run by Pittwater Council

Here is a link to facilities run by Manly Council

There is no central portal for these facilities so you need to google your council area with either “community centres” or “venue hire” (eg North Sydney Council community centres or North Sydney council venue hire).

For church halls it is probably best to contact your local church directly through the Whitepages.
